Blackwood was established by Tara Woods-Owens, a highly respected private security professional with more than 23 years of experience in the industry. Her career has been shaped by hands-on leadership, service, and a strong commitment to protecting and uplifting others. Over the years, she has worked across multiple areas of security and community engagement, including:

Leadership roles in private security operations and team management
Providing special needs support and developing inclusive, accessible training practices
Delivering safety and security services within Texas City ISD, ensuring secure learning environments
